Whether your settling in for 6 more weeks of winter or wanting to host a Frozen themed sing along, a DIY snow crown may be just the craft program you are looking for.

I got the idea from an image on Pinterest, but had to change it because the wire I was using was too rough to use and was scratching my skin. I had to figure out  this craft on my own. See below for complete information.

Cut the 22mm wire and put a bead on it and twist the wire between the beads to  keep them in place. I use the elf crown method which is using wire and beads to make a dramatic but stable effect. You want to twist in between each bead so they don’t slide around.

Wrap the wire around the headband that has the beads to make the headband look icelike. Be sure to leave a little bit of space to add your snow jewelry, so you’ll want to think strategically about how you place your wire.

Once the bead wire is in place, hot glue the jewelry pieces onto the headband. You can usually move your bead wire around a bit to create the desired look.

Let it dry. You can add a ribbon on the inside of the headband to cover the wires (and protect your head).

It’s the perfect accessory to wear while reading books with snow and ice on the cover, while snuggled up in a warm blanket of course.
