He was taken into custody Friday after officials with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office found him outside the jail and past the guard line, according to a report.

On his person, authorities discovered a box cutter, and the items he is accused of trying to smuggle were found in the nearby brush, the report noted.

Items included cocaine, jewelry, earbuds, glue gel, packs of cigarettes, hex keys, charging cords, cooked chicken wings, marijuana, lighters, and sweets.

"Our 'Eyes in the Sky' operation continues to be effective this year, as we foil attempts by inmates and their co-conspirators on the outside to get illegal and potentially dangerous items inside the jail. The safety of the intended recipients and others in our custody and on our staff is threatened by this practice, and Sheriff Maddox has made it clear that it will not be tolerated. Offenders will be prosecuted within the full extent of the law," Chief Deputy Randy Akies said.
